Don’t Worry Be Happy | FOOTBALL IS BACK!!!

After waiting for what has seemed like an eternity,

Whether you’re a fan of the game or not, football can teach us a variety of themes to help us in our everyday lives.

Here are a few ways Football teaches us to become the best version of ourselves:

1. Recharge Your Batteries.

“Life is a marathon, not a sprint.”

Burning yourself out is a real issue and it ultimately won’t help you achieve your goals. In your current mindset, you may think that you’re giving 100%, you may think you’re seeing results, but in reality, you’re just hurting yourself in the long-run.

NFL Football is played on Sundays, pick one day a week where you rest, recharge, and don’t do anything that takes up any mental space. This will allow you to start the week out feeling fresh and helps us perform our best on game days.

2. Be Happy with your Job.

“Follow your passion, don’t follow the money.”

The best players in the world are the ones who started playing Football as a child. It was their dream to play in the NFL, become a hall of fame player, and win a Super Bowl.

Not to become rich, not to become famous, but they had a vision in mind that was bigger than money…It is about working hard, putting in your dues, and overcoming adversity.

If your mindset is to become rich with a fancy house, a fancy car, and materialistic possessions. I have no doubt you can and you will bring those ideas to fruition. However, you will be sacrificing your overall happiness and that’s not something money can buy.

3. Negotiating a New Contract.

The value of an investment is what it pays you.”

Your job is an investment, so you need to ensure it’s providing you the value that you feel you’re providing your company. Now, this doesn’t mean that right out of college you should be expecting an offer of $100,000 or more.

Doctors come out and begin making essentially minimum wage as they begin their careers. Once they become ingrained into the culture, get valuable work experience, then they are rewarded for all of their hard work.

Expect to receive offers in the $30,000 to $50,000 range and accept it! Once you obtain your job, look at the company from the inside out, figure out what your growth potential is, and as you become an asset to the company, you can then start to negotiate a new salary over time.

Happy Slacking,

Joshua Krafchick, AKA “CHACHI”
