Dealing with anxiety can be gruesome.
Has this ever happened to you?
You sit down at your desk and instantaneously became overwhelmed with the amount of work you need to complete. Your heart rate starts to increase, you began to tremble, and your stomach became queasy.
This is what a doctor may refer to as a panic attack! Panic attacks can affect not only people who suffer from mental health issues but also anyone who does not take the proper precautions.
So…what can cause a panic attack?
1. Not Sleeping Well.
Sleep is where your brain and body recharge in order to get you working in tip-top shape. According to helpguide.org,
“A healthy adult needs approximately 7-9 hours of sleep.”
Remember, just because you sleep in on the weekends does not mean that those hours will help you catch up on the sleep you need to fully recharge! This actually may act as a headwind because oversleeping is linked to heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.
2. Diet and Exercise.
Wealth = Health. Without good health, you cannot enjoy the various freedoms that your money can give you.
You need to realize that the smallest positive changes such as eating correctly, exercising, and getting enough sleep can help in all aspects of your life.
3. Avoiding Phobias May Increase Your Fears.
Whether it is public speaking or cockroaches, do the best you can in order to overcome those obscure events that may cause an outbreak of your emotions.
How You Can Handle the Panic???
1) Take a deep breath and count to 10
2) Write down all of the tasks you need to complete
3) Prioritize those tasks in order of importance
4) Go for a 25-minute walk, exercise, meditate, etc.
5) Cross out each task as you move down your list
6) Remember to breathe and know that everything will be alright
