American politics isn’t something that I enjoy talking about, but we are in a time where things are strange.
The Republican party typically wins the big elections due to the fact they stick to key issues that are clearly defined.
The Democratic party is more diverse, but unfortunately, disagree on more subjects than Republicans within the party. For example, civil rights defined by the African-American community and the LGBT community.
When you have a candidate such as Hilary Clinton who focuses on policies, it will, unfortunately, cause grief within the democratic party, which is why she was unsuccessful in the past election.
Democrats have a larger pool of votes, but without any charm, they simply have not been able to be successful against other Republican candidates. Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama, ran their campaigns, not on policies alone, but they were both very charismatic candidates. Go to youtube.com and type in Bill Clinton saxophone, and you will understand what I mean.
With President Trump in office, it has unsurprisingly caused the two-party system to become skewed. This is healthy for our political system to allow politics to catch up with the increasing number of technological advances. At the end of the tunnel, whichever party, maybe even a new party, may come out on top and dominate for years to come.
